Fountain Pen Ink 101
Interested in fountain pens and ready to move beyond the blue and black cartridges that came with your pen? There is an amazing world of thousands of fountain pen inks available that is exciting and expansive...but it can also be overwhelming and confusing. Learn about the "Four S"s of fountain pen ink (Standard, Shading, Sheen, and Shimmer) as well as other interesting types, characteristics, and styles of inks, many of which you can purchase at the SUPERSHOW. Learn about the differences between different makers of ink (from large companies down to individual ink makers), ways to purchase ink and try a wide variety of inks for very little money, and grab some samples to try at home.
Eric would love a job as an "ink sommelier" and believes ink can be as expressive as the ideas one chooses to write. He is currently working on a book about his handwriting quest.
