Basic Pen & Ink Wash Art Workshop

​• Have you ever wanted to learn how to do quick pen & ink wash sketches? Now is your chance. Join me in learning how to create quick pen & ink sketches using your favorite fountain pens and fountain pen inks.

• In this workshop we will: learn the basics of sketching, how water interacts with ink on paper, explore various art papers, and have fun while creating art. This is a wonderful opportunity to use your favorite fountain pens and inks not just for writing, but for sketching as well.

• Workshop attendees are encouraged to bring their own favorite fountain pens with wide/broad nibs (e.g. medium, broad, and stubs) to experiment with. Come to the workshop with your pens filled with the following ink colors: blue, green, red, purple, yellow/gold, and brown. Suggested dye based (wet) ink brands are: Diamine, Robert Oster, and Van Dieman’s Inks. In addition to your fountain pens, bring a water brush and a fine tip pen with permanent ink.

• The following basic supplies will be provided: handouts and art paper to use during the workshop.
