A 90‑minute creative session on the history and practice of press‑era illustration. The first 45–60 minutes trace the lineage from 19th‑century caricature into early‑20th‑century comics and satire, and how that visual language informs modern analog drawing. The final 30–45 minutes are hands‑on, with attendees reviewing original 19th‑ and early‑20th‑century illustrated periodicals and books. Attendees also receive guidance on how to access these works through major free digital archives such as HathiTrust, Internet Archive, and Project Gutenberg. Registration includes a signed copy of The Analog Line.
